AirtelGlobal Diabetes Day Walk The walk was organized by Cochin eye foundation, Ranjini Eye Hospital and Indian Medical Association. AIRTEL, the mobile phone company sponsored the event. A huge logo made out of balloons was released by the collector Dr. Beena and exactly after 3 seconds all the participants released blue balloons. Walk  Ishaan was a premature baby and had to undergo retinal laser for aggressive posterior retinopathy of prematurely in both eyes. His postnatal life was very turbulent, but he fought all odds to come out strong. Here he is participating in the walk and leading 450 people. His confident strides gave hope to many. World Sight Day 08 Ranjini Eye Care, a super specialty hospital offering the best ophthalmic care at affordable costs, organized free Diabetic Screening and Free Diabetic Retinopathy Screening camp. The camp which began at 9.30 am was inaugurated by Honorable Justice K. Narendran and was presided over by Mr. K. Babu, MLA, Govt. of Kerala. The function was attended by Mr. Senan, Retired Public Relations Officer, Govt. of Kerala. Ms. Vidya, a 15 year old diabetic girl who underwent bilateral phaco-emulsification with foldable acrylic hydrophobic intra-ocular lens implantation at Ranjini Eye Hospital lighted the lamp and explained in her own way the journey from total blindness to complete visual recovery. read more at ranjinieyecare.com |
